This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use Heretic Chess ("the App").

Summary

Heretic Chess is a single-player game with local save data. The App does not require an account, and your save files stay on your device. The App also uses Firebase Analytics to collect limited analytics data about how the App is used so we can understand usage and improve the game.

What We Collect

The App may collect limited analytics and usage data through Firebase Analytics. This can include screen views, button taps, gameplay and progression events, app version, device or app-instance identifiers, and similar app usage metadata generated through the analytics SDK. We use this information for analytics and product improvement.

What We Do Not Collect

The App does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or payment card details inside the App. We do not use App Tracking Transparency, do not collect IDFA for analytics, and do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

Save data: Your game progress, owned cards, coins, and equipped loadout across up to five save slots
Settings: Your difficulty and preference selections

This gameplay data stays on your device. Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data.

In-App Purchases

The App offers optional consumable in-app purchases through the Apple App Store. All payment transactions are handled by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card information. The App may receive product and purchase status information needed to grant purchased content on your device. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles purchase data.

Third-Party Services

The App uses Firebase Analytics to understand App usage and improve the product. The App also relies on Apple services for App Store purchases. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or ATT-based cross-app tracking.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through account registration or contact forms in the App. If you believe you have a question about a child's data and this policy, contact us and we will review it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
